Chestnut fencing is manufactured by cleaving (hand splitting) sweet chestnut into pales. These are then wound together using four strand, galvanised mild steel wires at approximately 75mm centres, the wires being twisted together between pales. Chestnut paling produces an attractive yet inexpensive and easy to erect fence and is ideal for temporary fencing or in a situation where a low-cost substantial barrier is needed.

This fencing is available in 900H, 1.050H and 1.2H in 10 yard rolls with 2 wires at approximately 3” spacings. All made to British Standard 1722 Part 4.
